Can Tho Cities with Enormous Potentials to Cooperate with Iranian Partners

From August 09th  – 13th, 2015, Can Tho delegates led by Mr. Dao Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee paid a working visit to Mazandaran Province, the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the visit, the delegation had working sessions with the province's Governor, Vice Governor and leaders of Departments and line agencies such as departments of agriculture, seafood, cultural heritage, industry, mining and trade, economics and finance. In addition, different field visits to Mazandaran's chicken production complex, University of agricultural sciences and natural resources, sea port, and cow farm were also included in the working schedule to enable the delegate members understand potentials and strengths of the province.

These served for both sides' objectives to develop a cooperation relationship in agriculture, economics, tourism urban planning, management and resources through exchanges of professional technical experts, delegations and managers via an MoU signing ceremony taken place on August 12th, 2015 in Mazandaran province.

All leaders of both Can Tho city and Mazandaran province expressed their hopes and expectations that the MoU would serve as a bridge to connect their enterprises, delegates together in business transactions, experience exchange and share, delegation exchanges and so on.

The business trip ended with a remarkable event taken place at the Vietnamese Embassy to Iran, which was also an MoU sign on August 13th, 2015. With supports by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thach, Vietnamese Ambassador, Can Tho city  signed an MoU with Bobby Batmanghelidj Associates, an Iranian business consultant company, which was expected to serve as a framework to help Vietnamese exporters become major rice suppliers to Iran under a form of a triangular relationship between relevant stakeholders from Vietnam, Iran and Japan in which Vietnamese, Iranian and Japanese entities would respectively provide supplies, markets and finance and technology.
