The Sponsoring Association of Poor Patients in the Southwestern Region Granted with Funds from Sunwah Group, Hong Kong

On June 28^th,2015, Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang – Permanent Deputy Chief of the Steering Committee of the Southwestern Region hosted a ceremony to receive funds from Sunwah Group (Hong Kong), represented by Dr Jonathan Choi – Chairman. The funds valued at 5 billion VND, of which 3 and the other 2 billion VND are intended to be used for the Association's office building and cash grant to poor patients. Leaders from other provinces and cities in the region such as Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Hau Giang…also attended the ceremony.

In his speech at the aforesaid event, Mr. Quang expressed his sincere gratitude towards the generosity, kindness and concern of the Sunwah Group about poor patients' life. In addition, he also hoped that as a role of the Chairman of Sunwah Group cum Chairman of Hong Kong – Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Choi would act as a bridge to connect Hong Kong businessmen and investors with the Southwestern Region.

Responded to the request, Dr. Choi said that he was happy to introduce and link more interested investors from Hong Kong, even from other countries with the region. Towards the end of the ceremony, Dr. Choi would like to invite representatives from each province, city of the Southwestern Region to organize a working visit to Hong Kong to have a direct meeting with businessmen and investors there and provide detailed information about their provinces, cities; investment incentives; projects calling for investment… to  interested participants to help them have a more understanding of their intended places for investment decision.

On this occasion, the Association also received 9 billion VND from the Vietnamese Cement Corporation.
