Schengen Visa Gets Easier with New Visa Application Centers Opened in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
In order to ease the Schengen visa application process, Finland is outsourcing the application submission in Vietnam in May 2017. It has been announced via the website of the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi that Finland Visa Application Centers maintained by VFS Global are going to be opened in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh next month.
An appointment at the Visa Application Centers can be booked beforehand and the application can be completed electronically. Applicants must always submit their applications in persons and must give their biometrics.
Even after the Visa Application Centers have opened, the Embassy processes the applications and makes all the visa decisions. It also handles all Residence Permit and passport applications.
The Embassy will accept applications by appointment only. The appointments are also booked by the Visa Application Centers.
A new website for visa applicants will be launched before the Visa Application Center operations start.
