Virtual meeting with Presentative Office of Jeollanam-do in Ho Chi Minh City.

          On 07 March 2022, Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Bach, Deputy Director of the Department of External Relations held a virtual meeting with Mr. Jeong Jong Gyun, Head of the Representative Office of Jeollanam-do (Republic of Korea) in Ho Chi Minh City.

          The two sides discussed in details several different events and activities to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of Vietnam – Republic of Korea diplomatic relations in Can Tho City. According to the plan, there are cultural exchanges such as traditional cuisine displays, Vietnamese and Korean musical performance, traditional costumes performance, and a dance video contest.

          Jeollanam-do is the Korean locality signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation with Can Tho in 2012, and the two sides have had many activities for the implementation of the MoU. Recently, the Korean province donated 10,000 face shields to Can Tho for the prevention of COVID-19.

          Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Bach also informed the Head of Representative Office the business trip to Republic of Korea by a high-ranking delegation of Can Tho City. Mr. Jeong Jong Gyun provided his comments on the tentative program of the delegation and promised to recommend useful inputs for the working schedule in Jeollanam-do.

          On this occasion, the Deputy Director extended the invitation to Mr. Jeong Jong Gyun and members of the Representative Office to visit Can Tho and attend local events in April during the Hung Kings' ceremonies.
