Authorities of the City People's Committee received Delegation of Kampong Chhnang coming for New Year's Greetings

In the afternoon of February 11^th, 2015, at the Building of the Can Tho City People's Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee – Mr. Le Hung Dung and representatives of relevant Departments had a warm meeting with Delegation of Kampong Chhnang – Kingdom of Cambodia headed by H.E.Mr. Cheng Nhan, Deputy Governor of Kampong Chhnang Province with his spouse and some other officials of the Province who came to wish Can Tho City a Happy New Year on the occasion of traditional Tet of Vietnam.

At the meeting, the leaders of two sides reviewed the good traditional relationship, close feelings, long-lasting friendship between the two peoples, the city and Kampong Chhnang province, that have been proved by the senior delegation exchanges of localities on the occasion of great, special events, festivals and some other working visits.

On behalf of Delegation, Deputy Governor of Kampong Chhnang Province presented his thanks for the warm hospitality of the city authorities. He also  reviewed the history of solidarity in fighting against the invaders of the two army forces and expressed the gratitude of Cambodian people for The Party, the Government, Military and The people of Vietnam who helped Cambodia escape from genocide. He also presented his deep thanks for the support, assistance in many years of Can Tho city for Kampong Chhnang Province in different areas such as project aids, organizing teams of health care for the poor and Cambodian people, offering scholarships and so on. He affirmed that the Party, the Government of Cambodia has always cultivated the good relationship, the special neighborhood and kept firmly against divisive rhetoric for the solidarity, long-lasting relationship of the two people.

On behalf of the city authorities, Mr. Chairman Le Hung Dung expressed his thanks to the Deputy Governor and members of Delegation who spent their precious time to visit for New Year's Greetings on the occasion of traditional Tet of Vietnam.

Leaders of the two sides hope that the solidarity relationship and friendship between Vietnam - Cambodia in general, Can Tho City and Kampong Chhnang Province in particular will be better and everlasting.
