AeonMall Vietnam to open a shopping center in Can Tho

In the afternoon of November 15, 2023, Chairman Tran Viet Truong hosted a meeting session with Mr. Tanaka Katsunori, Senior General Manager of AeonMall Vietnam and his team members.

Chairman Tran Viet Truong shared his delights to welcome the delegation of AeonMall Vietnam to Can Tho City and his impression on the responsibility and vision that the company has on its development in Vietnam. Regarding the investment of a shopping mall in Can Tho City by AeonMall Vietnam, the city leader said that it would be the largest shopping mall in the Mekong Delta and provide employment opportunities for people in Can Tho and neighboring provinces. The shopping mall project is also in accordance with the orientation of the Politburo, National Assembly and Government of Vietnam in developing Can Tho City to be the center of the Mekong Delta in trade, services, logistics, education, and healthcare.

For his part, Mr. Tanaka Katsunori stated the interest of AeonMall Vietnam to invest a shopping mall in Can Tho which could attract up to 100,000 visitors on weekends. Therefore, a convenient location for customers' transportation was very important. Besides, with Can Tho's key position in the Mekong Delta, AeonMall was ensured that the future shopping mall would be a commercial attraction for people in the area.

In addition, the two sides also discussed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation during the business trip to Japan by a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam.
