PM reaffirms VN’s resolve to strengthen ties with Laos

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Tuesday reaffirmed Viet Nam's consistent policy to work with Laos to further deepen the two countries' relations in a practical and effective manner during his meeting with Vice President Bounnhang Vorachit in Ha Noi.

The Government chief suggested that both countries should focus on fruitful implementation of the agreement reached by their senior leaders.

PM Dung congratulated Laos on its comprehensive achievements in the course of national construction and development as well as the neighbor's rising role and position in the region and the world.

He also pledged to provide full support for Laos to assume the ASEAN Presidency Year in 2016.

Lao Vice President briefed about the outcomes of his talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Thi Doan during which the two countries reviewed the bilateral cooperation over the past time and worked measures to further strengthen the bilateral ties.

He said that Laos treasures Viet Nam's sincere and valuable assistance for his countries, reiterating that Laos attaches special importance to the relationship with Viet Nam.

Vice President Bounnhang Vorachit expressed his hope that the two countries would continue cooperation in various areas, including economy, trade and investment./.
