PM ratifies cultural diplomacy strategy
The strategy sets the goals of active international integration in culture to introduce Viet Nam's cultural values to the world while acquiring human's culture to establish a comprehensive culture to increase the nation's status and prestige and contribute to ensuring the country's sustainable development.
By 2020, Viet Nam will develop a diversity of effective cultural diplomacy models and forms to advertise cultural values of Viet Nam to the world though traditional cultural and artistic activities.
Besides, the nation will also promote the cultural sector, set up the national cultural symbol and products, export cultural products and services, organize international art festivals in Viet Nam and facilitate the introduction of foreign culture and tourism in Viet Nam.
The Strategy will give priorities to crucial areas such as traditional and neighboring countries including China, Laos, Cambodia and nations in ASEAN and strategic partnership nations in the Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America.
The Strategy aims to promote international relations culturally more effectively and sustainably as well as expanding the relationship with other countries, territories, international cultural organizations, economic corporations and cultural agencies in the region and in the world by 2030.
Viet Nam will continue to accelerate activities in traditional areas and strengthen relations in South America, the Middle-East and Africa./.
