PM meets Dutch parliament’s leaders
At the meeting, the PM affirmed that Viet Nam attaches importance to the friendship and cooperative relations with the Netherlands in all fields, including climate change adaption, water management, high-tech and sustainable agriculture, petrol, logistics and harbor.
He expected that the Dutch parliament continues to support and realize Viet Nam-Netherlands cooperative programs within the framework of the Strategic Partnership Agreement on climate change adaption and water management signed in 2010 and the Strategic Partnership Agreement on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security inked in 2014.
The hosts welcomed the visit of PM Phuc, regarding it as a crucial landmark in the two nations' relationship.
Ms. Khadija Arib supposed that bilateral cooperation has huge potential, asking the two sides to facilitate their businesses to fully exploit their advantages.
She confirmed that Netherlands is willing to share experience and strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam in such areas as water management, climate change adaption, sea level rise, shipbuilding, logistics and harbor.
Viet Nam is giving priority to reforming and completing the economic institution, renewing the growth model, enhancing the application of science and technology, improving the quality of human resources and increasing the competitiveness of the economy, said Mr. Phuc.
He suggested the Dutch parliament support the bilateral trade and investment cooperation, soon sign and approve the Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement and soon establish Viet Nam-Netherlands Friendship Parliamentarian Alliance.
The two sides consented to enhance delegation exchanges, especially between their parliaments' committees, hoping that the two parliaments will make effective development, contributing to their multi-faceted relations in the future.
The occasion, the Vietnamese PM conveyed National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan's invitation to the Dutch President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives to pay official visits to Viet Nam.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation left Amsterdam on the day, concluding his working visits in Germany and the Netherlands.
