DPM meets Chinese Vice President
The measures include maintaining high-level contacts and meetings, effective realization of agreements and perceptions reached by the two countries' senior leaders, and acceleration of win-win cooperation in all fields, especially economy, trade and investment.
The two sides should also enhance cooperation among localities and people-to-people exchanges, Deputy PM Hai suggested.
Regarding the East Sea issue, Deputy PM Hai stressed the need to comply with the agreements and common perceptions of leaders of the two Parties and States regarding the effective control of divergences, not taking any actions that may further complicate and expand dispute, working together to maintain peace and stability in the East Sea.
Both sides should strictly and fully implement the agreement on basic principles guiding the settlement of sea-related issues, and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), work with ASEAN member countries to finalize a Code of Conduct in the East Sea soon, and properly settle disputes through peaceful measures in accordance with international law.
Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao welcomed Deputy PM Hai's presence at the 3rd China-South Asia Expo and 23rd Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair held in Yunnan, China from June 11-13.
He highly valued progress in the bilateral ties over the past time, affirming that Chinese Party and Government always attach importance to the friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Viet Nam.
Mr. Li said the two countries should actively foster the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a healthy manner and satisfactorily settle disputes for the benefit of the two nations./.
