Meeting with Takesho Vietnam

On the morning of January 24, 2024, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Viet Truong had a working session with Mr. Toshinao Tanaka, Chairman and CEO of Takesho Food & Ingredients Inc. (Japan).

Chairman Tran Viet Truong expressed his joy when meeting Mr. Tanaka again after the former's business trip to Japan in December 2023. The Chairman said he always appreciated the activities of Takesho Food in Can Tho, and hoped that the company would continue to coordinate with the city in introducing the business environment in Can Tho to Japanese partners and investors.

In addition, Chairman Tran Viet Truong also informed Takesho delegation more about the city integrated planning recently approved by the Vietnamese Government, in which the city focuses on developing industrial, commercial, service, high-tech agricultural zones, among others. The City is also submitting to for the Prime Minister's approval a project to establish an agro-business hub in the Mekong Delta located in Can Tho, with many preferential mechanisms for investors.

In response, Mr. Toshinao Tanaka sent his sincere thanks to the leaders of Can Tho City for accompanying and supporting his business in the past time, and affirmed that he would introduce and promote the city's investment environment to the Japanese businesses.

Takesho Vietnam Food Factory project, located in Tra Noc 2 Industrial Park, O Mon District, has a total investment of 8 million USD. The project is designed and invested in modern construction from a Japanese contractor. It was researched in 2019 and officially put into operation in May 2022. Takesho Vietnam Food Factory was HACCP certified in April 2022. The factory has 2 production lines with a capacity of 130 tons/month, of which the spice powder product line is 100 tons/month. In particular, the main source of raw materials is to make use of shrimp shells and shrimp heads. The project's objectives are to process and produce spices and ingredients, wholesale food, machinery, equipment and spare parts, research and development.
