Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indochina Kajima Development (UK) Ltd, Mr. Peter Ryder, has had a meeting with Can Tho City leader on the investment of construction Wink hotel. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Tan Hien hosted the meeting, with the participation of relevant departments and agencies, including Department of Construction, Department of Investment and Planning, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Foreign Affairs, and Ninh Kieu District People's Committee.

According to the presentation by CEO Peter Ryder, Wink is the first hotel chain satisfying international standard in Vietnam. It is a modern, dynamic brand in combination with Vietnamese culture, aiming at the redefinition of "affordable luxury" in Vietnam. Indochina Kajima Development is planning to develop 20 Wink hotels in the next 7-8 years in Vietnam and Indochina area, located at key locations of major markets and secondary markets. The concept of the developer of Wink hotels is that the customers only need very basic facilities from a hotel, such as bedding and shower; therefore, they do not need to pay much for a large room. On such foundation, Wink hotel chain consists of compact hotel rooms at affordable rate. However, interior furniture, design, and services still meet international standards.

The first Wink hotel will be opened in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2020 at 75 Nguyen Binh Khiem, District 1. In Can Tho, the project is expected to launch in Quarter 3, 2021 and opened in Quarter 2, 2023. The construction is at 14 Phan Dinh Phung, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District. Upon completion, the hotel has 238 rooms and 19 floors. Currently, Indochina Kajima Development (UK) Ltd. has completed its business registration and investment certificate. In the upcoming months, the company will submit the environmental impact report, technical design and construction permit for the approval of Can Tho City departments.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Tan Hien appreciated the presentation by the CEO. He found it quite interesting to know more about the updated information of the Wink hotel project in Can Tho, design concept, future development, and partnership of Indochina Capital and Kajima Corporation. Vice Chairman Duong Tan Hien also expressed his delights when Can Tho is chosen to be one of the places developed Wink hotels. The Vice Chairman asked relevant departments and agencies to continue their support so that Indochina Kajima Development (UK) Ltd. could start their launching in Can Tho as they wished. In addition, the city leader also proposed the company to consider investing in other sectors such as houses and offices in Can Tho.

Indochina Kajima Development (UK) Ltd. is the joint venture between Indochina Capital and Kajima Corporation (Japan). The company commits to initially invest 1 billion USD in real estate projects in the next 10 years in major markets of Vietnam.
