Cambodian Army’s Guard High Command pays pre-Tet visit to Can Tho

A delegation of the Royal Cambodian Army's Guard High Command visited  Can Tho on January 11^th to offer greetings to officials and people of the city on the occasion of Vietnam's traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

General Sourn Khamlar, Deputy Commander of Cambodian Army's Guard High Command affirmed that Cambodia always remembered the merit and help of Vietnam for its struggle for liberation form the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

On the occasion of the traditional festival, he extended the best wishes to the Party organisation, administration and people of Can Tho. In the coming time, he hoped that the two countries would continue to maintain the friendship by generations.

For his part, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Hien thanked the delegation for their Tet greetings. He said that the visit was an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia in general and between Can Tho and the Cambodian Army's Guard High Command in particular.

He expected Can Tho and Cambodia would continue cooperation in economy, education and training and the relations between Can Tho and Cambodian Army's Guard High Command would be further intensified and develop sustainably.
