Newly-appointed Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of 9th November 2021, Mr. Daniël Stork had a meeting with Deputy Director General of the Consular Department Do Hoang Tung to present his credentials with the official letter of appointment from HM King Willem Alexander and the Minister of Foreign Affairs as the Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City. Also attending the meeting was the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam, Mrs. Elsbeth Akkerman.

During the ceremony, Consul General Daniël Stork highlighted the friendly relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries in 2023.

He also expressed his commitment to cooperating closely and strategically on the water management, agro food and other sectors with Vietnam.

Other than that, he would be keen on promoting and sharing Dutch expertise on Responsible Business Conducts (RBC), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Women Entrepreneurship and cultural exchanges between two countries.
