Southern Traditional Cake Festival 2023

With the theme of "Preserving and promoting the value of southern traditional cakes", the 10th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in 2023 is expected to take place from April 28 to May 2, 2023 in Binh Thuy District (Dang Van Day Street, Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City).

The opening ceremony will take place at 19:00 on April 28, 2023. The event is organized to preserve and promote the value of Vietnamese culinary culture in general and the southern traditional cakes in particular. This is an opportunity to promote the southern traditional cakes to domestic and foreign visitors. It is also expected to develop traditional cakes to become a national brand.

This year's event will have a scale of 250 to 300 booths displaying traditional cakes, specialties, OCOP products, souvenirs, machines and auxiliary products for traditional cakes, etc from all provinces and cities across the country. Besides, side activities within the framework of the event will be held with a larger scale and higher quality than those of the previous year.

The 10th Southern Traditional Cake Festival is considered the highlight event of Can Tho city tourism in 2023. The festival promises to bring a joyful and exciting atmosphere to locals and visitors as well as preserving and promoting traditional values and typical culture of the people in the South.

The festival hopes to welcome more than a million visitors to visit and enjoy the cakes and specialties of Can Tho as well as the provinces/cities participating in the event, with the participation of about 200 famous artisans from various regions in the country who participate in competitions and demonstrations of making traditional cakes.
