Speaking at the ceremony, Singapore's Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Roy Kho emphasized that since the two countries established diplomatic relations 50 years ago, the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Singapore has always been good and flourished in all fields, from economy, politics to culture. The cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore is extensive and significant in economic, political, defense, educational, cultural and artistic cooperation.
Although the world is entering a period of global economic crisis due to the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Singapore is still the largest FDI investor in Vietnam in the past 2 years and in the first half of this year.
