NLVN50 Logo Design Contest Announcement

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations and more than 400 years of people-to-people contacts between Vietnam and the Netherlands. That is why the Netherlands missions in Vietnam would like to invite anyone living in Vietnam or the Netherlands, who has a passion for graphic design and a special love for the two countries to join the "50 YEARS VIETNAM – NETHERLANDS LOGO DESIGN CONTEST."

The logo should symbolize the close ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands, reference the 50 years of bilateral relations, and pay tribute to Vietnamese and Dutch culture.

This logo will be used as an official visual in all communication in late 2022 and all year round in 2023, in Vietnam as well as in the Netherlands.

Technical requirements:

  • Digital file(s) of design in scalable vector graphic format (.EPS, .PSD, .AI) as well as JPG format, at minimum resolution of 1200 pixel, 300 dpi;
  • The design must incoporate unique Vietnamese and Dutch elements and has no signature;
  • Simple, unique and cheerful design, appropriate for different communication materials (letterhead, business card, video graphic…);
  • The design should be accompanied by a short description presenting the design idea (3-5 sentences).

How to submit your design?

Follow 3 steps to submit your contest entry:

  1. Compress all the files
  2. Upload the compressed file to a google drive link (make it an accessible link)
  3. Send the google drive link to: HAN-PCZ@minbuza.nl with the subject: "NLVN50 LOGO DESIGN CONTEST"
  • Deadline for submission: no later than 23h59 on 18 September 2022. Late submissions will not be considered.

A judging panel will review all contest entries and select a winning design. The winner of the contest will receive a special award which he/she can further develop his/her graphic designer skills. We will award 03 consolation awards for this contest.

An award ceremony will be organised at the Netherlands Embassy for the winners of the contest, where they will receive certificates of merit and gifts from the Netherlands Ambassador to Vietnam. 

General rules:

  • The contest is open to all individuals living in Vietnam or in the Netherlands;
  • You must be the original designer of your work, and are fully responsible for the copyright of every creative element in your contest entries;
  • Contestants should provide contact information including full name, phone number and current living address;
  • All submitted materials are non-returnable;
  • Organisers reserves the right to modify the submitted entries and determine the use of them in any media without further reference to the contestants and without any fee payment.
