Lao’s New Ambassador Appointed to Vietnam

On March 07th 2016, at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affair, Deputy Prime Minister Cum Minister received a new ambassador of Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam. At the courtesy call, Deputy PM and Minister Pham Binh Minh expressed his hearty congratulations towards the success of the 10th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and to Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane for his new position as an ambassador in Vietnam.Mr. Binh Minh confirmed Vietnam's readiness and support to help its Lao friend and brother to successfully implement the 8th 5-year socio-economic development plans. In addition, he particularly added that Vietnam would highly appreciate and always give its top priorities to unceasingly tighten and promote the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Before wrapping up the call, Mr. Pham Binh Minh showed his strong belief that during the term in Vietnam under the position of an ambassador, Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane would have positive contribution to further enhancing such good relationship of the two countries.
Responded to Mr. Deputy Prime Minister Cum MOFA Minister, Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane expressed his sincere gratitude towards precious assistance provided by the Vietnamese Party, Government and citizens to the Lao counterparts so far; and affirmed that he would make every effort to fulfill his duties entrusted by the Lao Party and citizens.
