Can Tho picks August 2022 as the peak month for COVID-19 vaccination

To implement Official Dispatch No. 664/CĐ-TTg dated July 25th 2022 of the Prime Minister on intensifying vaccination against COVID-19 in Can Tho City, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, signed Plan No. 168/KH-UBND dated August 9th 2022 on the organization of the peak month for COVID-19 vaccination in 2022.

The purpose of the Plan is to complete the COVID-19 vaccination for individuals who are eligible to receive the vaccine by August 31st 2022 in a safe, effective and equal manner.

The following people could go to all fixed and mobile injection clinics throughout the City to get vaccinated:

- Everyone aged 18 and older who received 2-dose primary series is eligible for the 1st booster;

- Everyone aged 18 and older who is eligible for vaccination as prescribed is eligible for the 2nd booster;

- Children and teens aged 12 to under 18 are eligible for the 1st booster;

- Children aged 5 to 11 are eligible for the first or second dose.

According to Plan No. 168/KH-UBND, Can Tho City People's Committee also requires relevant departments and agencies to update data entry regarding the vaccination schedule in a timely manner in case those who have been vaccinated but cannot update information on the vaccination system.

The above-mentioned people can find suitable injection clinics based on the list of COVID-19 vaccination sites in Can Tho city updated on August 10th (Please see the attached). The injection clinics are open from Monday to Friday; in addition, some injection sites also offer vaccines to citizens at the weekends.
