Hungarian scholarships for 2023-2024
The Embassy of Hungary in Hanoi has just informed the launch of the Hungarian State scholarship "Stipendium Hungaricum Programme" for the academic year of 2023-2024.
Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was first launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government with the aim of providing opportunity for foreign students to pursue their higher education studies in Hungary. The scholarships are available for both full-degree and partial study opportunities in the three cycle degree structure (bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programmes), and it covers tuition, monthly stipend, accommodation and medical insurance.
The scholarship programme is managed by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and coordinated by Tempus Public Foundation. The programme is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements signed between the Ministries responsible for education in the sending countries/territories and Hungary. Currently there are more than 80 Sending Partners engaged in the programme on 5 different continents. In 2022, more than 50,000 applications were received and nearly 4,900 scholarships were awarded.
The deadline for application is 16 January 2023 and the online application portal already opened at http://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu/.
