Nearly 84,000 visitors flocked to Cai Rang Floating Market during the cultural and tourism festival, which was held in Cai Rang City, Can Tho City from July 9 to 11.
According to Chairman of Cai Rang District People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Cuong, this was an encouraging signal for Can Tho's tourism sector after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The three-day festival featured a myriad of activities, including a boat race, art performances, a Taekwondo tournament, and a fair showcasing agricultural products.
In addition, more than 50 travel businesses and tour operators in Can Tho City brought to the event 100 booths showcasing the land, culture, craft villages, and handicraft products of Can Rang district.
According to the organisers, the festival aimed to preserve and promote the unique values of Cai Rang Floating Market by allowing visitors to experience the life of traders operating in the market.
